New Footing

Here's a shot of the footing that will support the South foundation and the new side entry.



Before pouring the footing, the contractor had to knock out one of the posts holding up the house. He replaced the post with temporary cribbing and a steel beam. Below is a closer shot of the cribbing.

More Demolition

Rain and scheduling conflicts slowed progress on the dig this week. The contractor moved inside to do some more demolition. This room, adjoining the new entry, will be a home office.

Equipment Problems

The contractor is having some equipment problems. He'll be back in a day or two.
