East Side of the Foundation

From the inside looking South, here's the last side of the foundation all tied in to the rest of the concrete. Soon there will be a concrete floor over the crushed stone.

Starting demolition on the front porch. If we didn't tear it down, it would eventually fall down.

The Last Footing

This is the last footing. It's on the East side.

One side of the foundation is done. Most of the framing is complete too.

Here are some shots of the concrete pour for the footing on the North side of the foundation. The concrete starts on the South side.



Then flows down the chutes set up under the house.



And fills the forms on the North side.

These are forms for the South side of the foundation, where the new mud room will be.

Washout

We've had torrential rain (again) these past few days. The rain washed out a section of the wall excavated for the foundation. Mud poured over the new footing, but there's no serious damage. In this shot, we've covered the dirt with tarps to channel the water away.
